Monday, November 17, 2008 Today was a busy day, Vivi had her medical exam. Each adopted child has to have an examination before they can leave China. Miss Vivi is healthy as a horse. That took most of the morning and then we again had a huge Chinese lunch….I bet I have gained 10 lbs this trip. Then back to the hotel for the kids a good long nap. Vivi wasn’t feeling well when we got back, she was queasy from the bus ride. When she sees the bus we travel around on she immediately holds her mouth because she knows she will probably get sick, the Dramamine does help and we will be using it on the airplane. While the kids slept, Paul read the comments you all left and I went shopping….and it was FUN…great shopping and great prices on the island. For dinner our travel group took a dinner cruise but we decided not to go because we were concerned the boat might make Vivi get sick. We went to Lucy’s to eat dinner and then shopped a little and soon made our way back to the hotel. In the evenings are when Vivi will allow me to have anything to do with her so I took full advantage. After bath time, while Max and Baba were reading books, Vivi and I tried on all her new clothes that we bought her today and then I would stand her in front of the mirror…she would say bu-T-ful…she has heard me say that to her a few times before :-). I can’t believe I didn’t think to have Paul take pictures but I was so caught up in that wonderful, beautiful and treasured moment that taking pictures was the last thing on my mind. Each day there is progress and I am so thankful! Thank you again for your prayers. We are praising God!!! We miss our family, our friends, our church family, our community and all my bloggy friends. WE MISS YOU ALL!!! Only 2 more sleeps and we are on our way home!!! WE LOVE YOU!!! Paul, Kim, Max and Vivi
